Al-Nahda Charity Society is a non-profit, humanitarian organization registered in Somalia (Reg. No. 0226-D 2019). For over 28 years, we have worked to reduce human suffering through emergency relief, community development, and long-term sustainable solutions.Founded in 1997 by a group of dedicated intellectuals, Al-Nahda has become a trusted partner for communities, local authorities, and donors across Somalia.
Al-Nahda Charity Society was established in 1997 by a group of dedicated Somali intellectuals committed to addressing the escalating humanitarian challenges in Somalia. In 2019, Al-Nahda was officially registered as a non-governmental organization (NGO), enabling us to expand our initiatives and enhance our impact nationwide. Today, we actively collaborate with stakeholders, communities, and partners to provide emergency relief and implement sustainable development programs that empower vulnerable populations.

To improve the quality of life for individuals in Somalia through humanitarian assistance, education, healthcare services, and sustainable development.
Objectives
Al-Nahda is committed to:
- Developing pastoral communities in Somalia
- Securing sponsorships for orphans and children from low-income families
- Constructing and rehabilitating formal and informal education facilities
- Promoting environmental conservation and sustainable land management
- Providing veterinary training, medications, and vaccines
- Enhancing animal health for improved productivity and market competitiveness
- Operating veterinary and medical mobile teams during dry seasons
- Monitoring maternal and child health in vulnerable communities
- Constructing shallow wells, boreholes, and earth dams
- Establishing health posts and health centers
- Supporting public institutions through collaboration with the government
